Our software called “Miles” is an end-to-end solution encompassing front, mid and back-office functions that can be extensively customized to meet customer needs. Our clients are leasing and financial services companies as well as mobility management companies active in the automotive sector.
For the implementation of our software in Japan, we are looking for Bridge Engineer.
What is the job about
As a Bridge Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of ERP systems, acting as a liaison to ensure smooth collaboration between technical teams, stakeholders, and clients. This role requires fluency in both Japanese and English, a strong understanding of ERP systems, and experience in project management within a cross-cultural environment.
As a Bridge Consultant your main role and responsibilities are as follows:
- Act as the primary point of contact between Japanese clients and international ERP implementation teams.
- Ensure clear and accurate communication of project goals, technical requirements, timelines, and milestones between all parties.
- Translate technical documents, meeting minutes, and reports from English to Japanese and vice versa.
- Facilitate technical discussions and ensure mutual understanding between the client’s business needs and the implementation team’s technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and engineers to ensure that ERP solutions align with client expectations and local regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve communication challenges that may arise during the project.
- Provide post-implementation support to ensure the successful adoption of ERP systems by Japanese clients.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors and internal IT teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in ERP software implementation or similar IT project roles.
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (native level) and English (business level).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on bridging cultural and technical gaps.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of business processes such as finance, procurement, supply chain, and HR as they relate to ERP systems.
- Experience working with both local and international teams. Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on cross-border ERP projects.
- Familiarity with Japanese corporate culture and business practices.
- Certification in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
- Experience with automotive leasing and/or asset finance is a huge plus.
