Sofico is a global ERP software provider with an exclusive focus on automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. Our software called “Miles” is an end-to-end solution encompassing front, mid and back-office functions that can be extensively customized to meet customer needs. Our clients are leasing and financial services companies as well as mobility management companies active in the automotive sector.

For the implementation of our software in Japan, we are looking for Junior Business Consultants.

What is the job about

As a Business Consultant, you will help our customers think about their present and future situation and facilitate the optimization of business processes and improve operational efficiencies by conducting workshops. You will translate requirements into functional analyses, configure our software, follow up internally with developers, and implement the rollout of new developments. You will also be involved in data migration and the configuration of reporting tools.

As a Business Consultant your main role and responsibilities are as follows:

Project requirement gathering and analysis

  • Analyze and evaluate available customer requirement and scope documentation
  • Conduct requirement gathering workshops with customers starting from the standard Miles process flows
  • Gap analysis: investigate the customer's to be situation, derive the functional requirements and use cases to be covered, define the gap versus the Miles solution
  • Document and process requirements according to agreed project approach
  • Interact with customer application management or SMEs to clarify and validate requirements and proposed solutions

Business processes

  • Understand, describe, propose business/functional processes to support understanding of requirements and solutions
  • Perform process gap analysis and may articulate and describe gaps between as is and to be processes along with any associated business rules

Requirement stewardship

  • Safeguard understanding of requirements throughout the delivery flow
  • Elaborate business and functional requirements for development (FA/CR) and configuration solutions with solution developers. Design flows and concepts
  • Provide business requirement input to data migration and reporting solution developers.
  • Support acceptance, participate in internal and external handovers, provide acceptance criteria, scope management

Business advisory

  • Expert advice: from business, country, legal, customer and system knowledge, propose high level solutions and alternatives
  • Challenge requirements and assumptions to reveal actual needs, goals and issues

Contribute to projects

  • Participate in upgrade projects, detect opportunities and match to customer case
  • Perform consulting service for large enhancement projects, optimization projects etc.

Your role will also include advisory tasks as follows:

  • Project / Implementation related advice
  • Project-related, can support the customer in scope decisions and new business areas and process and system impact
  • Business optimization/innovation advisory: providing business advice on the customer's product offering, processes based on experience in the niche market.
  • Organization (optimization) advisory: supporting our customers in setting up (and temporarily managing) part of his organization, such as the installation of a 1st line, 2nd line organization and even broader Miles Competence Center.

What we expect from you

  • You have 3+ years experience working in a business consulting or analyst role
  • You have the ability to quickly absorb and understand the customer’s business, think creatively, and come up with innovative solutions to business problems
  • Bonus if you have experience with leasing and / or asset finance
  • Native Japanese and fluency in English (business communication)
