What the job is about

In this position, you'll join our expanding finance department, which operates internationally. Collaborating with your colleagues, you'll be focusing on treasury activities but you will also be involved in the A to Y accounting processes for Sofico NV (Belgium) and our affiliated entities in The Netherlands, France, Germany, UK, USA, and Mexico.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Handling treasury activities like ensuring liquidity by monitoring bank liquidity levels and managing funds across all bank accounts. On a weekly basis you will be responsible for cash reporting, facilitating payments including reviewing payment requests and ensuring timely execution.

You will become the SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for our bank relations and administrate banking tools including managing users, limits…

Next to this, you will:

  • Monitor and manage any treasury related costs

  • Cash flow forecasting for the group and our legal entities

  • Support and manage FX transactions or any other financial assets or investments


As we are a multi-functional team you will also be involved in our day to day accounting activities like processing various accounting transactions, both general and analytical.

On a monthly basis, you will ensure accurate account closures, handle VAT returns and intra-community declarations next to preparing financial closings (as well as quarterly and annual financial closings & accounts).

Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer invoicing and payments.

  • Overseeing intercompany transactions and payments, with thorough preparation and follow-up.

  • Providing support for internal financial systems, administrative processes, financial audits, and reporting.

Following an initial onboarding period where you'll familiarize yourself with accounting practices and specific business processes, you'll progressively assume responsibility for one or more legal entities based on your learning trajectory.

Your interest and skills

You have a Bachelor/Master in Accountancy/Tax and can look back on at least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment in the software services industry.  

You are a go-getter feeling comfortable in taking on new projects. Because our enterprise is rapidly evolving, you enjoy being hands-on and thinking out-of-the-box.

Experience in a treasury position/similar responsibilities. 

You master Excel and get acquainted quickly with accounting software. Experience with Exact Globe is a plus.  

With your excellent knowledge of English, you ensure a good interaction with customers, vendors and colleagues across the globe.
