Job Title: Temporary Accountant (9-Month Contract)

Location: Macquarie Park, NSW

Duration: 1st March 2024, to November 2024

Hours: 40 hours per week

Minimum Experience: 3 years

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Temporary Accountant to join our finance team for a 9-month contract, commencing on 1 March 2024. This position is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing organization and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate accounting processes.



  • Be a strong and confident communicator, adaptable, and flexible.

  • Process accounting transactions (general and analytical) for timely and correct monthly closing of accounts.

  • Lodge monthly Payroll Tax to multiple SRO.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including WIP reports.

  • Manage intercompany transactions and payments.

  • Prepare necessary reports and data for external audit.

  • Support internal (financial) systems and other administrative processes.

Your Interests and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant in a commercial organization.

  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation.

  • Intermediate to high proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Process-driven with high attention to detail.

  • Previous experience with ERP; experience with Exact Globe is a plus.

  • Ability to proactively identify, understand, communicate, and act on current and future risks.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, organize priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and self-managing.

  • Adaptability, accountability, proactivity, initiative, and follow-up.
